CHALLENGE


In today's fast-changing world where everything is online, Pru Life UK wanted to leverage current trends and technologies to stand out among its competitors. Aiming to be a top-of-mind employer in the insurance industry, Pru Life UK recognized the need to build their employer branding strategy to attract the business's critical talents—for both corporate operations and agency.

Pru Life UK aimed to strengthen its online presence and build brand awareness to engage and attract candidates and become visible as an employer and business. At the same time, Pru Life UK wanted to understand how their employer brand is perceived and identify their candidate needs while enhancing their candidate experience. 

Above all that, Pru Life UK sought to unify its branding to its corporate identity.


SOLUTION


To address these business objectives, Pru Life UK partnered with TalentView and went through the first 3 phases of the TalentView 5A Framework©: Audit, Articulate, and Activate to increase employer brand strength. 


TalentView started with conducting an employer brand audit that helped identify and articulate their employee value proposition. This employer brand audit helped them gain insight into how they are perceived as an employer and thus benchmark against competitors. Using the EVPs (Employee Value Propositions) obtained from the audit, TalentView created compelling and attractive content for recruitment and candidate engagement through LinkedIn to help establish Pru Life UK's online presence. 


To showcase Pru Life UK's culture, TalentView produced and published video content through their brand ambassadors' authentic stories to engage their target talents. TalentView also uses graphics to creatively talk about the company's EVP while also exhibiting Pru Life as a great place to work. 


In addition, Talentview monitored and reviewed the social media posting performance as well as social media activity to oversee the effectivity of posts and understand the candidate’s preferred type of content. This is also to ensure that the content is continuously aligned with the company’s brand while sustaining its momentum. Talentview also provided social media activation and traffic paid ads management to boost their LinkedIn account.

RESULTS


As a result, Pru Life UK built a strong employer brand strategy and delivered its brand promise through social media. The company saw a 150% increase in its LinkedIn followers, gaining over 12,000 additional followers within its first year of partnering with TalentView.

Today, Pru Life UK is starting to explore other types of content showcasing more of their internal programs to build their leaders' credibility and further strengthen their business position.

Moving forward, Pru Life UK is working to connect these results into their recruitment metrics. Many of their followers have become their hiring candidates as Pru Life UK is now recognized as a top company by their target talents.


The Company managed to get 35 hires just in July 2020, the highest number of LinkedIn-Influenced hires among companies in the Philippines, majority of which was senior-level hires in Finance. They achieved this using a solution set spanning across Recruiter, Jobs, and Media.
