CHALLENGE
AIA has around 3,000 corporate employees and more than 6,000 agency leaders and advisors across the Philippines. With the different demographics, location and shift to digital, it was a challenge for everyone to stay connected amidst the new normal and find new ways to foster two-way communication.
AIA also wanted to increase their leadership visibility and transparency and build communities that would allow each employee to reach anyone and everyone in the organization, regardless of their job functions.

At first, I was not aware that Workplace existed. I can only see it from Ads, but when I had the chance to experience it, I knew that it would be a great fit to build our community. We want a platform that can make our communications simple, fast, and connected. By exploring more, ideas came to mind and, I was thrilled to pitch this to the management.
In Workplace, we can do more and do better. When we started using the platform, we started imagining how we can make things exciting. Here are some of the insights and feedback based on my experience.
First, let us start with the administrative tasks.
Onboarding is a pain point that we are experiencing with the volume of New Recruits that we need to add to Facebook back then. Imagine doing this for hours, verifying if the profile is legitimate, and making sure that no one can access any data from the group. With Workplace, hours turned to only 5 minutes! Deactivation of profile is also automated, and it saved us a lot of time! We can now focus on other tasks, thanks to Workplace!
Second, Workplace is an excellent tool for recognition and engagement.
We want our community to feel highly appreciated for even the small wins that they achieved. Workplace has different recognition features like Send Thanks, Posting Achievements, and my favorite, Badges. It allows our team to be creative, and it also opened an idea on how we can encourage and promote our campaigns through digital recognition.
Lastly, everyone is in the loop.
We want Workplace to be their go-to communication platform when they look for announcements from the company. We want to break the barriers of one-way communication and allow our community to connect and foster collaboration within the organization. By doing this, we can improve and have instant visibility on what we need to focus on.
I am confident that our community will appreciate Workplace more as we continue this journey together.
